I'd just like to point out that seeing as this website wasn't updated to include it, Markus Birdman pulled out and cancelled his show on Sunday 10th due to low ticket sales. Whatever happened to the show must go on Markus?! What a disappointment. Other performers have had next to no people turn up for their shows but have still taken to the stage which is exactly how it should be. It's nice to see Birdman still doing an interview for the BBC Leicester site though. Just thought people should know about this seeing as the site doesn't mention it.

I agree. Four of us turned up to see him and we weren't the only ones. I mean it was only Bambu, it wasn't like we'd have been lost in a massive venue. Very disappointing decision.

Thanks for the comment Kaybee. We'd booked tickets to see Markus as soon as they went on sale and luckily for us we did have other shows to see that weekend otherwise it would have been a waste of time us heading to Leicester. We were at Zoe Lyons' show on Saturday night and she only had a handful of people turn up. She still performed though and a superb show it was too.

I've just happened upon your comments re Markus Birdman pulling out of the Leicester Comedy Festival. It wasn't a decision taken lightly by us and I did speak to festival staff at the time saying that anyone wanting guest tickets for Markus when he was back in the East Midlands were more than welcome to contact me in this regard.
